Vision and Strategic Consulting

Vision is your inspiration. It describes what you want to accomplish. Strategy is how you accomplish your vision.

Companies in the same industry may have the same vision. For example, Microsoft and Apple started with similar visions: Change the world with computers. Yet, each company had a different strategy to change the world. Microsoft changed the world with business computers. Apple changed the world with beautifully designed computers.

At Mikkensi we work with you to make sure your company and strategies are clear, and ensure your goals align to the outcomes you want.

A recent technology client wanted to create a company that created simple solutions at a sensible cost, so that society as a whole would benefit. A laudable vision. After working with us for a month, the company had a definite plan on how to get through the first year: who were its prospective clients; when they should approach them; structure and critical roles to hire; training and development plans; marketing plan; and other critical performance metrics. 

Leadership & Management & Training

At Mikkensi we help various types of teams and team members. We work with receptionists, graphic designers, production managers, human resource managers, CFO’s and CEO’s. We work with them individually, in teams and organizations.

At Mikkensi we believe that the most important part of execution for your vision and your strategies is your people and how they work as a team: What do they bring? What are their expectations? Are development plans aligned to performance? Some examples of our success include:

  • Working with a graphic designer we increased their client base over 20% in three months. We coached the graphic designer on new marketing tools and how to create a niche client base.
  • Working with a 30-person company and their office administration team to sort out workload issues, and backlog issues, we determined with the company that part of the solution was to move the accounts receivable duties from a senior staff to a junior staff. The team appreciated that accounts receivable for this company was important task, but not complicated and did not needed to reside with a senior staff. The removal of this task allowed the senior staff to concentrate on a more time consuming and long-term task of hiring the right staff. The result was two new hires within a month which alleviated a backlog on the production line.
  • Working with a CEO of a 100-person company who faced several challenges with leadership within the organization, we implemented a culture change through a series of small changes that included, organized team meetings, employee recognition programs and employee engagement.
  • Working with a small company facing workload issues, lack of competent employees, and lack of a competent labour market, we worked with this company and implemented a solution that used federal funding to automate some jobs and move high skilled employees to more responsible roles.
